These snapshots show the plots which you can see from Plot Current Position on Google satellite maps and Google maps.
The Plot Your Cruise option offers additional choices, including annotating the automatically-produced position/speed/heading information.
Skipper's Mate allows you to monitor your boat remotely wherever you have access to the Internet - using a smartphone, tablet,
laptop or desktop computer. So you can check that your boat has not broken free or been stolen.
Plot Your Position allows you to choose the time period and frequency of plots - it then shows your boat, the base position you
set (e.g. when you anchored) and the boat positions, including the latest. You can view this using Google maps or Google satellite maps - the small pictures above show examples of a boat dragging the anchor across the path of the Dartmouth Higher Ferry !
When you're sitting in the restaurant, it's a great way of checking whether to ask for the bill or order a brandy. You can click or hover on any boat icon (white latest, red previous) to see details.
GPS - Real-Time Update allows you access to the GPS data to see the figures as they're updated. If you're away from your boat and want to check the position, speed, track then you can view this screen. For a visual representation use Plot Your Position
